Each month this summer Calvary is going into three local communities organizing barbecue parties. This helps bring neighbors together and at the same time gets our congregation out into the community. This ministry has proven to be a blessing to all involved. We are creating friendships and having fellowship over a grill.  We will be cooking, eating, and laughing with them all the while breaking down walls.

Here are the 5 B’s of BBQ Outreach.

1. Build Relationships – This could look different from one person to the next. But the bottom-line is finding someone you can connect with.
2. Bless Our Neighbors – If there is a need that Calvary can fill our team will let us know.
3. Begin to Pray for Someone – The goal here is to move from praying for the “community” and start praying for “Bob” by name.
4.  Bring The Kingdom – This will take shape in many ways, and just by doing the first three we accomplish #4. We will be prepared for opportunities that are prompted from the Spirit for sharing the Gospel, inviting someone to church, or even a church event.
5. Be Blessed by Our Neighbors!
