Girls of Grace is an amazing event that had an impact on my life, as well as the lives of many other girls. It was an all day conference that girls attended with their mom, aunt, grandma, or special friend. I have never been to any other event that has fascinated me so much. The Girls of Grace conference was inspiring, encouraging, and touching.

Throughout the day, we heard from several speakers, who shared their life stories, and gave us a life lesson through these stories. For example, one of the life lessons for girls was to “Wait for Steak.” That means that we should wait for a fully matured guy to date, rather than a young teen guy who only cares about himself. We consider the immature guys “beef jerky.” Why would we settle for “beef jerky” when we can have “steak?”  We learned so many life lessons, and every one of the speakers’ stories was so inspiring.

The Girls of Grace event took away many complications in my life, and added so much courage. One speaker reminded us that God will never abandon us, and will guide us through our future. They used scripture from Jeremiah 29:11 as a reference, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” That verse reminds me that God will lead us every step of the way, and will carry us when we don’t have the strength to move on.

The band, Point of Grace, was at the event, and they were amazing, inspiring singers. Throughout the whole conference, you could see God shining through them, always beaming with the love of Christ.

Girls of Grace is an event that I strongly encourage you to attend. I can guarantee  this event will change your life . . . it sure changed mine.  ~ Story by Ashley Rogalske
